I have just had news that Kevin, a friend of the site, someone who I had regular emails with and had the pleasure of meeting, has sadly passed away. He had maxillary sinus cancer, which unfortunately just got the better of him and his doctors.
He has been so positive and brave throughout his ordeal, a real inspiration to myself and no doubt many others. My thoughts go out to his Wife and Children.
This has been the hardest post I have had to write for this site - but I want to leave you with something that he wrote to me, back in April of last year, to me the last sentence means so much, it is full of clarity, positivity and hope, perhaps it could help you have perspective and keep you positive if you are in anyway affected by this dreadful disease:
"They (talking about his family) really are good and a credit to themselves and each other. You will fully understand that we all want to be permanently fixed more for them than us I think. Having said that, since diagnosis on 20 Feb, the sky has looked distinctly bluer and the grass greener.
